Mission Statement

The purpose of San Luis Obispo County Homeless Services Oversight Council (HSOC) is to ensure that everyone has access to appropriate and affordable housing and to services they need to sustain it. HSOC identifies the following priorities to end homelessness:

  1. Facilitate access to affordable housing
  2. Stop homelessness before it starts through prevention and effective intervention
  3. End and prevent homelessness through integrated, comprehensive and responsive support services
  4. Coordinate a solid administrative & financial structure to support an effective implementation plan
