CESH Informational Meeting

The County of San Luis Obispo Department of Social Services is pleased to announce the availability of a funding opportunity to provide assistance to homeless persons in San Luis Obispo County.

In 2018, the Governor signed into law Senate Bill 850, creating the California Emergency Solutions and Housing Program (CESH) grant.  This program is a one-time-only, limited-term formula grant allocated to the San Luis Obispo County Continuum of Care by the State of California’s Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) and the Business, Consumer Services and Housing Agency (BCSH). The intention of this grant is to provide aid to people experiencing, or at-risk of experiencing, homelessness in local Continuum of Care service areas.   The County of San Luis Obispo is the Administrative Entity for the San Luis Obispo County Continuum of Care (SLO CoC) CESH grants and the funding will be administered by the County of San Luis Obispo Department of Social Services.

CESH funding is divided into two funding rounds – a 2018 and a 2019 round.  Grants for the first round, referred to as the 2018 round, were awarded by the County in May 2019.  The County is now issuing a Request for Proposals from eligible applicants for the second round, referred to as the 2019 round.  A total of $392,231 is available for application under this Request for Proposals.

If you are interested in learning more about the available funding program and how to apply, please review the Request for Proposals linked below.  In addition, an Informational Meeting will be presented via Zoom on Tuesday, September 8th at 3 p.m.
