The Market Match Program will give you $1 of Market Money for each EBT $1 that you spend.

The Market Match Program is coming to the Arroyo Grande Wednesday and SLO Thursday night Farmers’ Markets!  This is great news if you receive CalFresh Benefits.  When you use your EBT Card to purchase Fresh Fruits and Vegetables at Farmer's Markets, the Market Match Program will give you $ 1 for each EBT $1 that you spend (up to $ 10).

The North County Farmers' Markets continue to offer the Market Match Program at Markets in: Paso Robles, Templeton, Atascadero, Morro Bay and Los Osos.

Eating healthy is easier when you have access to fresh, affordable choices. Access to healthy food and nutrition is a key factor to maintaining good health.  Market Match Tokens can be used with any farmer in the market that sells fruits, vegetables, or fresh-cut herbs! Using CalFresh benefits at the Farmer’s Market is a win for everyone. CalFresh recipients are able to purchase locally grown, health food and stretch their buying power and local farmers have widened their pool of potential customers.

What is Market Match?

Market March is California’s healthy food incentive program that matches the customer’s federal nutrition assistance benefit, like CalFresh and WIC at farmer’s Markets. The Market Match Program will give you $1 of Market Money for each EBT $1 that you spend. The maximum dollar amount varies. The offer is good until all the Market Money is gone.

How does Market Match Work?

  • Go to a Farmers’ Market that accepts EBT and offers Market Match.
  • Go to the Farmer’s Market Booth or Table to obtain EBT tokens and ask about Market Match
  • The staff will give you a dollar Market Match Token or Voucher to each EBT $ that you spend.
  • Use the EBT Tokens and the Market Match Tokens to purchase fresh fruits, vegetables or fresh-cut    herbs at the Farmers’ Market.
