Subcommittees

  • Don’t Hold Your Breath: Aims to reduce secondhand smoke exposure of conventional cigarettes and emerging tobacco products through adopting a comprehensive secondhand smoke policy or updating the existing policy to reflect current tobacco definitions.
  • Flavored Tobacco Products & Electronic Smoking Devices: The primary focus is to help reduce youth access to tobacco products, including flavored tobacco products and ESD. They look for ways to address and counter the pro-tobacco marketing tactics toward youth.
  • Too Cool for School: Provides support to the local colleges that have passed a tobacco-free policy (Cal Poly and Cuesta College). Outreach to vocational schools to educate them on the benefits of tobacco-free campus, assist in adoption and implantation of a tobacco-free campus.
  • Community Engagement: A focus on building community involvement through collaborative partnerships within our community. This group helps decide what type of community outreach the coalition should be part of and assist on coalition development.

If you would like to join a subcommittee please contact us at 805-781-5564.
