San Luis Obispo Library to Open on Sundays

Author: Library Administration
Date: 3/18/2019 8:00 AM

The San Luis Obispo Library will be open Sundays beginning April 7, 2019. Hours of operation will be 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM.

The San Luis Obispo Library will open on Sunday afternoons, 12:00 to 4:00pm, from April 7 to June 30, 2019 (except for Easter Sunday April 21). All regular services will be available to the public except for those that require special appointments, such as passport acceptance. This is a pilot program, and the San Luis Obispo Library will likely continue to operate on Sundays if there is sufficient interest.

"We received feedback in our County-wide Community Survey last year that Sunday hours were something that people were very interested in,” said Assistant Director of Libraries, Chase McMunn. “It is an additional day for busy families to find a time to make it to the library and get work done or find something they are interested in. We hope that opening the San Luis Obispo Library an additional day will make a large impact for people in the whole County."

The San Luis Obispo Library is located at 995 Palm Street. For more information on library programs and services, visit www.slolibrary.org or follow County of San Luis Obispo Public Libraries on Facebook.
