On September 26, 2023, the County Board of Supervisors directed staff to prepare a Cannabis Clean-up Ordinance Amendment. The Public Review Draft of the Cannabis Clean-up Ordinance Amendment is now available for review.


On September 26, 2023, the County Board of Supervisors directed staff to prepare a Cannabis Clean-up Ordinance Amendment consisting of three parts:

  1. Amendments to Title 22 and Title 23 modifying the expiration of permits to be five years from operational sign off, instead of five years from date of approval.
  2. Amendments to Title 22 and Title 23 updating the hours of operation for dispensaries (delivery only) located in unincorporated County areas to be consistent with State regulations (§15403).
  3. Amendments to Title 22 and Title 23 improving the way the County recovers abatement costs.

The Public Review Draft of the Cannabis Clean-up Ordinance Amendment is available for review in the link below. The ordinance amendment is tentatively scheduled for consideration by the Planning Commission at a public hearing on April 11, 2024.
