Probation Service Week Recognized by the Board of Supervisors

Thank you to the Board of Supervisors for recognizing the dedication and contribution of Deputy Probation Officers, Juvenile Services Officers and Administrative Professional staff with a formal adoption of a resolution proclaiming July 18-24, 2021, as Probation Services Week in San Luis Obispo County.  Probation, as the alternative to incarceration, keeps the County safe by proactively addressing criminal activity and holding accountable persons under Probation supervision, providing pre-sentence reports and juvenile dispositional reports to the Superior and Juvenile Court, connecting justice-involved youth and adults to the services and interventions needed to support opportunities to improve their lives, operating a safe and secure Juvenile Hall and the Coastal Valley Academy Camp program that provide a healthy and supportive environment that creates opportunities for youth to grow and learn new skills, and collecting restitution on behalf of victims.
