The More You Know

Watch the video below to learn about VSO's, Fully Developed Claims, and the best options for you.

Still Confused About The VA Claim Process?

If you are unsure of where to find help, need aid toget started, or are just unsure of your entitled benefits, you can obtain assistance by calling the County of San Luis Obispo's Veterans Services Office. Our staff can help you understand and apply for benefits and entitlements and will advocate and assist you throughout the claim process.

Who Are Veterans Services Representatives?

Veterans Service Representatives (VSR's) are accredited Veterans Claims Representatives. VSR's are not employees of the federal government, they are county employees ready to help you become connected with your VA benefits. They will assist you in securing the maximum benefits.

When Should You Apply For VA Benefits?

We encourage you to apply as soon as possible, as many benefits are retroactive to the date of application. We can help you obtain copies of your discharge papers if you do not have them.
