Description
The Paso Robles Area Groundwater Authority (PRAGA) implemented the groundwater sustainability fee under California Water Code Section 10730 to fund groundwater management activities for Fiscal Year 2026-2027 (July 1, 2026 - June 30, 2027), including implementation of the Paso Robles Subbasin Groundwater Sustainability Plan (GSP) in compliance with the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA). The fee is based on consumed or "net" groundwater use during Water Year 2025 (October 1, 2024 - Septemeber 30, 2025)., The fee rate was calculated by dividing the approved Fiscal Year 2026-2027 budget amount by basin's total consumed groundwater use during Water Year 2025.
