What is the process?
Step 1: Apply for Voter Registration Certified Copy
Complete and return the Application for Certified Copy Voter Registration by one of the following methods:

NOTE: Applicant must present identification. When applying by mail, fax or email, be sure to include a clear photocopy of your driver license or other official identification.
Who can use this service?
Pursuant to Elections Code Sections 2188, 2194, and 6254.4 of the Government Code, voter registration information is available to persons or groups for election, scholarly, journalistic, political, or governmental purposes as determined by the California Secretary of State. All requests to view, purchase, or use voter registration information must be accompanied by a written application.

When and where is this service offered?
This service is available anytime throughout the year at the Clerk-Recorder office in San Luis Obispo during regular business hours except during County-observed holidays.
