28-year-old sentenced to two life terms for domestic violence attempted murder

On May 1, 2019, Alberto I. Gonzalezpenaloza (28) was sentenced to two consecutive life sentences for two counts of attempted murder in a domestic violence attack, which occurred in September 2017. Under current law, the defendant will not be eligible for parole until he has served 22 years.

Jury Finds Atascadero Man Guilty of Attempted Sexual Penetration of Intoxicated Victim

A jury convicted David E. Ardebili of Attempted Sexual Penetration of an Intoxicated Victim as a felony and simple assault. The predatory crime occurred June 18, 2017 after Ardebili enticed the victim, who he did not know, to enter his vehicle before sexually assaulting her at the Atascadero Lake Park. The defendant left the severely intoxicated victim at the Kmart parking lot in Atascadero.

Oakland Man Arraigned on Charges for Mass Shooting at Oceano Dunes

Francisco Orozco (19), the alleged perpetrator of the May 5, 2019, mass shooting at the Oceano Dunes, appeared in court today. At his request, Mr. Orozco’s arraignment was continued to May 15, 2019. The District Attorney has charged Mr. Orozco with attempted murder, and five counts of assault with a firearm, including four enhancements for personally inflicting great bodily injury.
