Skylar Marie Marshall (26) of Paso Robles has been sentenced for involuntary manslaughter involving the shooting death of her husband Alexander Hagist (35). Judge Jacquelyn H. Duffy ordered that the sentence of seven years be ‘split’ in two parts; two years in county jail custody followed by five years of community supervision.

Criminal charges will not be filed against Mesa Middle School teacher Sarah Watts

A Mesa Middle School math teacher who was arrested on campus by the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 will not be charged. The incident was referred to the District Attorney’s Office with a recommendation to charge Ms. Watts with felony child abuse causing injury.

In recent weeks there have been numerous reports of real estate fraud involving criminals who are posing as property owners and contacting real estate agents to sell a property that they do not own title to. The criminals have engaged the real estate professional by impersonating the property owner and are attempting to negotiate the sale of properties which are vacant or lien free.
