Driving Under the Influence Programs

Please read the following information so you know how to continue to receive services during the temporary COVID-19 public health emergency. Some Behavioral Health programs may require additional forms to be completed. Please reach out to your treatment team with questions and concerns.

Telehealth over Zoom for Health

To avoid a delay in completing your treatment program, County of San Luis Obispo Behavioral Health will begin offering Remote Client Services. Remote Client Services will enable you to continue program with a certified counselor via a virtual meeting platform called Zoom.

In order to help you participate in Zoom Remote Client Services, we have created user-friendly instructions and tutorials found here. Your treatment team will be in contact with you over email with a web link so you may join your sessions virtually through a computer, tablet, or phone.

What is the process?

Step 1: To Enroll:

  • All enrollment services are by appointment only.
  • All DUI Programs are enrolled at the San Luis Obispo office via the Zoom remote process.  Make sure you have Zoom on your device and are familiar with how to use it.
  • Complete an Enrollment Application Packet, then scan the completed file back to us.
  • Enrollment packets are processed on a first come/first served basis, and only fully completed application packets will be processed.  Follow the checklist included in the enrollment packet closely to prevent any delays in your packet being processed.
  • Once your complete application has been received, you will be contacted as soon as possible to schedule a zoom enrollment meeting (these usually take about 5 minutes and involve reviewing signatures on forms, followed by making an electronic payment – $200 down payment on any program is required followed by monthly payments, but you might find paying in full is more convenient.
  • To download an application packet, click this link: https://www.slocounty.ca.gov/Departments/Health-Agency/Behavioral-Health/Forms-Documents/Client-Applications,-Intake-Forms-and-Handbooks/Drug-and-Alcohol-Services-Specific-Forms/Driving-Under-the-Influence-(DUI)-Program-Forms.aspx
  • If you are unable to print off the enrollment packet or scan it back in, you can arrange a time to pick up or drop off a packet by calling (805) 781-4293.
  • If you are unable to access Zoom we will make other arrangements.
  • Should you have any further questions, call: (805) 781-4293
