Aboveground Petroleum Storage Tank Facility Inspection

Who is eligible?

This service is available to all Aboveground Petroleum Storage Tank facilities regulated by the Environmental Health Services Division. Inspections are required to verify facility compliance with the prepared Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plans.  SPCC Plans are required for tank systems greater than 1,320 gallons. Some exceptions apply.

Is there a charge for this service?

Annual fees are required for Aboveground Petroleum Storage Tank systems regulated by the Environmental Health Services Division. The fee provides regulatory compliance oversight, one routine inspection and one reinspection. Additional chargeable inspections may be required if compliance is not achieved during the routine and first reinspection. No fee is required for an initial consultation to determine if a health permit is required. Please refer to our Fee Schedule or contact our office at (805) 781-5544.
