Who can use this service?

This service is available to operators of facilities who handle and store hazardous materials above threshold quantities and are regulated by the Environmental Health Services Division. Some exceptions apply.

Is there a charge for this service?

Facilities where hazardous materials above threshold quantities are handled and stored, which are regulated by the Environmental Health Services Division, are subject to annual fees for inspection and regulation.  Routine inspection fees are included in the cost of the annual health fee. However, chargeable reinspections may be necessary as determined by the results of the routine inspection. There is no fee for an initial consultation to determine if regulation is required. Please refer to our Fee Schedule or contact our office at (805) 781-5544.

When and where is this service offered?

Inspections are performed throughout the year during regular business hours except during scheduled holidays.
