Applying for County Employment

What is the process?

Step 1: View Available Opportunities

View current employment opportunities available in the County.  Existing County employees can view available promotional opportunities as well.

Step 2: Register for an Account

Register for an account on GovermentJobs.com.  View the Applicant FAQs for help with registering and applying online.

Step 3: Sign up for Notifications

Sign up for Job Interest Cards so that you are notified of available jobs that interest you.  This is an optional step.

Step 4: Apply for an Available Job

Apply for an available opportunity by selecting the job you are interested in and viewing the job details.  Start your application by selecting the APPLY button at the bottom of the job description.   You can also practice completing an application by selecting the Practice Application from the list of available opportunities.

Anyone 16 years or older can use this service.

Is there a charge for this service?

This service is provided free of charge.

When and where is this service offered?

This service is available online throughout the year 24 hours a day.  Live assistance and support using the online system is limited to regular business hours except during scheduled holidays.
