Williamson Act Eligibility Requirements

Properties must meet or exceed the following eligibility requirements to participate in the County's Williamson Act Program.

Land Use Category

The property must be within the Agriculture land use category, a general plan amendment will be processed by the County to change the land use category to Agriculture once an agricultural preserve is established.

Minimum acreage requirements for eligibility vary depending on the productive potential of the soil - more productive soils result in smaller minimum size requirements.
