Huasna Road Bridge Replacement Project, Arroyo Grande

The purpose of the project is to improve public safety along this portion of the roadway because the existing bridge has reached the end of its service life. Implementation of the project will also improve roadway safety. The project site is in Supervisorial District 4.

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has determined that the existing bridge should be replaced due to structural and hydraulic deficiencies, making the project eligible for federal funding.  The proposed bridge project will construct a new wider bridge at the same location. A temporary detour will maintain access to the area during construction.  Construction will last one year and is anticipated to start the summer of 2027.
