Use our Decision Engine to Help You Choose Which Apply button to select.

Make sure you are logged into the PermitSLO Portal.  This user guide uses a permit as an example application, but the process is similar for other applications.  The easiest way to identify which APPLY button to use is to go to our Decision Engine.  See link above.  Otherwise, you can type the application into a search bar in PermitSLO and find it that way.  See guide below:

1.  From the main PermitSLO portal, click anywhere inside the box "Apply".

2.  In the top search box, click inside and type "Single-Family Dwelling-Residential New Structure." When it appears below, review the description in the tile and if that is the correct application, click the "Apply" button to start.  

3.  If interested, you can filter results by category.  

Click Show Categories:

• Trending to choose from the current most common application types
• My History to choose an application type for previously applied (only for registered, logged in user)
• Permits for a list of construction plans
• Plans for land use plans
