Monte Road over Squire Creek Bridge Replacement Project, San Luis Obispo
This project is currently in design. The project proposes replacing the existing timber bridge on Monte Road over Squire Creek with a new concrete bridge.
The purpose of the project is to improve public safety along this portion of the roadway as the existing bridge has reached the end of its service life.
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has determined that the existing bridge should be replaced due to structural deficiencies, making the project eligible for federal funding. A temporary detour will maintain access to the area during construction.
