Santa Margarita Bolted Water Tank Replacement Project (CSA 23)
County Service Area 23 (CSA 23) provides the town of Santa Margarita with drinking water. In 2025, The County replaced the existing 157,500-gallon bolted water tank in CSA 23. The former water tank, built in 1966, had reached the end of its service life and was leaking. The new welded-steel tank is built to modern codes and seismic design standards which will improve water system resiliency and ensure emergency fire-fighting water capacity in the Santa Margarita area.
Crosno Construction completed the project in 2025 at a cost of $935,000. The project was funded by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) of 2021.
