Who is eligible?

If you are experiencing an emergency, please dial 9-1-1. 

The minimum requirements for filing a report online are the following:

  • The incident you are reporting is NOT an emergency
  • The incident occurred within the Unincorporated Area of San Luis Obispo County
  • There are no known suspects for the incident

When and where is this service offered?

You can make an online report at anytime.


A report case number will be provided to you once you have completed the online report.

Note: A valid case number will be sent via email once a supervisor has reviewed and approved your report.

The fields on the Person screen indicated with red labels as well as sex, DOB, address and phone number are required in order for your report to be considered for follow-up investigation.
