Residents Invited to Special Public Tours, Activities in April

The County of San Luis Obispo invites residents to attend a variety of public tours and activities in April to celebrate National County Government Month. To showcase the County’s innovative programs and projects, this year’s activities include educational classes and guided tours at the County jail, public health lab, Lopez Lake, and various County fire stations. The tours will show how the County works to create a safe, healthy, livable and prosperous community. 

Registration is required to attend and will close 24 hours prior to each tour’s start time.

Marvin Rose

County Names Interim Planning Director, Preps for Nationwide Search

The County of San Luis Obispo has appointed Marvin Rose as its Interim Planning and Building Director and is preparing a nationwide search to fill the executive position. The County also hired Avery & Associates, an executive search and labor relations consulting firm, to assist with outside recruitment activities in the coming weeks and months.  Read more
