The State clarified that observers for youth sports (age 18 years and under) are to be limited to an immediate household member who may observe practices and games as needed for age-appropriate supervision. This supervision is limited to a single adult (or immediate family member older than the sport participant).

Applications Now Open for CA COVID-19 Rent Relief Program

More than 100 SLO County Community Members Have Died of COVID-19

Just this week, the County confirmed that 13 additional local lives were lost to the disease, bringing the total confirmed deaths from COVID-19 to 101.

COVID-19 Still Surging in SLO County Amid Backlog in Reported Cases

Fast Rise in COVID-19 Case Rates Lands SLO County Back in the State’s Purple Tier

Effective today, San Luis Obispo County is now in the State’s Purple Tier, which has the most restrictions, for at least three weeks due to a fast surge in cases locally. The State modified its Blueprint for a Safer Economy today and announced that SLO County’s unadjusted case rate was 17.7 last week with an adjusted rate of 12.5 and a 5.1% positivity rate.

Moving forward, pop-up testing clinics will be staffed by County employees and analyzed at UCSF laboratory or County Public Health lab, which has recently increased its testing capacity to 300 tests per day.

County of SLO Budget Hearing Addresses Pandemic Impacts on FY 2020-21
