The detection of a single adult Asian Citrus Psyllid insect in March, 2014 near Arroyo Grande has prompted concern about the protection of the local citrus and nursery industries and citrus trees in landscapes across the county. The San Luis Obispo County Whistleblower Hotline was established by the Board of Supervisors in November 2013 under the authority of California Government Code Section 53087.6 to provide a mechanism by which employees and citizens may contribute to the accountability, transparency and responsibility of the County by reporting financial fraud, waste and abuse. To report an issue call toll-free 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to speak to a third-party representative. You may choose to remain anonymous. Click here for more information.
