County Real Property Disposal, Sales and Grants

Anyone can use this service.

What is the process?

Step 1: Process Varies

The process of disposing of County-owned real property varies depending upon the property's location, type, use and value. Any questions should be directed to the Real Property Manger 805-781-5206

Is there a charge for this service?

The Board of Supervisors sets fees for the sale of County-owned surplus property. Current fees include a $300 application fee and a $700 processing fee, in addition to the actual cost of appraisal, and other related costs. There may be other costs depending upon the property's location, type, use, and value.

When and where is this service offered?

This service is available throughout the year during regular business hours except during scheduled holidays.
