Charges filed against CMC escapee David Grayhall (26)

David Gregory Grayhall, who escaped from the California Men’s Colony on October 30, 2018, has been charged with escaping custody, vehicle theft, and having a prior violent under the Three Strikes Law. Mr. Grayhall fled the prison while on work duty and stole one of the facility’s vehicles for his escape.
Charges filed in gang-related robbery in Shell Beach

District Attorney Dan Dow announced today that his office has filed felony charges against Brayan ArellanoVazquez (20) of Santa Maria. Charges include Robbery, Attempted Carjacking and Assault with a Deadly Weapon. It is further alleged that ArellanoVazquez committed the crimes in association with a criminal street gang.
Former Canadian pastor sentenced to two years in prison for sex crime

Nathan George Rieger, a citizen of Manitoba, Canada and former pastor (DOB 08/18/1965), was sentenced to two years in state prison today for arranging to meet a 15-year-old for lewd purposes in August of 2018.  Pursuant to California law, Mr. Rieger must now register as a sex offender.
Former Treasurer Convicted of Embezzlement from Non-Profit Ag Friends

Jury Convicts Travis Dawson of Transportation of Methamphetamine and Heroin and Possession of a Firearm

District Attorney Dan Dow announced today that, a San Luis Obispo County jury found San Miguel resident Travis Ray Dawson (DOB 2/3/1994) guilty of transportation of methamphetamine and heroin for the purpose of sale, possession of a firearm and ammunition by a prohibited person, possession of methamphetamine, driving on a suspended license and providing false information to a peace officer.
San Luis Obispo Jury Finds Herbert Connor Guilty of Felony Sexual Battery

Today, February 1, 2019, a San Luis Obispo County jury found Herbert George Connor (DOB 07/27/45) guilty of felony Sexual Battery by Restraint, one count of misdemeanor Sexual Battery and one count of misdemeanor Assault, for an attack that took place on April 25, 2017 in the town of Cambria.
Viborg employee sentenced to five years prison for embezzlement from elderly victim

Paso Robles resident Diana L. Russell (43) was sentenced today to five years prison for embezzling nearly $500,000 from an elderly couple, Sandra and Ole Viborg who also live in Paso Robles.
