Update: Closure of River Road at Huerhuero Creek in Paso Robles

The County of San Luis Obispo Department of Public Works will begin work to repair the currently closed bridge on River Road over Huerhuero Creek on September 4, 2019.

(Updated 8/30/19) -- No vehicles will be permitted through the work site until bridge repairs are complete. Repair work on the bridge is anticipated to be completed, and River Road and the bridge reopened on or before October 4, 2019.

To support the repair work, River Road between Wellsona Road and the Paso Robles city limits will remain restricted to local traffic only. River Road will dead end with no turn around at the work site.

Road closure advisory signs are posted at Cross Canyons Road, Wellsona Road, and River Oaks Drive. Motorists are advised to use Highway 101 or Airport Road as an alternate route. Please see attached map for specific locations.

Repair and reopening of the bridge will allow full highway legal loads. However, traffic will be restricted to one lane crossing the bridge. River Road is a relatively low volume road,
delays due to the one lane condition will be limited.
