Jury Convicts Man of 15 Felony Sex Crimes Against Two Children in San Luis Obispo County

District Attorney Dan Dow announces the conviction of Teodulo Vasquezjimenez for multiple counts of sexually abusing two child victims.
District Attorney Dan Dow announced today that a San Luis Obispo County jury has convicted Teodulo Vasquezjimenez (DOB 06/18/1985) of 15 felony counts involving the sexual abuse of two child victims. The offenses occurred in San Luis Obispo County between 2009 and 2023, when the victims were 14 years old and younger.
“This verdict reflects the courage of the victims who came forward and the careful, thoughtful work of our criminal and victim justice system,” said District Attorney Dan Dow. “We are deeply grateful to the jury for their time, attention, and commitment to evaluating difficult and disturbing evidence. Their service ensured accountability and helps bring a measure of justice to the victims in this case.”
Following a week-long trial, the jury found Vasquezjimenez guilty of 14 counts of committing a lewd act upon a child under the age of 14, and one count of committing a lewd act upon a child age 14.
The jury also found that Vasquezjimenez committed these offenses against multiple young victims. As a result of these findings, the defendant now faces significantly increased penalties under California law, including multiple life sentences in state prison.
In addition, the jury found aggravating factors, including that the defendant abused a position of trust and confidence to commit the offenses and that the victims were particularly vulnerable.
The crimes occurred in the City of Paso Robles. During the trial, the jury heard testimony from both victims, who described the repeated sexual abuse they endured over several years. Cases like this reveal the importance of supporting victims and holding offenders accountable through a justice process that prioritizes safety for the community, dignity for victims, fairness to all concerned, and a truthful outcome.
Vasquezjimenez faces a maximum sentence of 280 years to life in state prison. Sentencing is scheduled for August 11, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. in Department 1 of the San Luis Obispo County Superior Court, the Honorable Rita Federman presiding.
This case was investigated by the Paso Robles Police Department, with assistance from the District Attorney’s Office Bureau of Investigation. The case was prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Kristin Barnard of the District Attorney’s Office Sex Crimes Unit. Victim services were provided by the District Attorney’s Christopher G. Money Victim Witness Assistance Center, including Victim Advocates Aracely Maldonado and Tristan Milledge, and Witness Coordinator Kellie Navarro.
The District Attorney’s Office encourages anyone who has been the victim of sexual abuse to seek help and know that they are not alone. Confidential support and advocacy services are available through the District Attorney’s Victim Witness Assistance Center and other community partners. Victims are also encouraged to report abuse to local law enforcement so that it can be investigated and prevented from continuing.
