Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU)

The County of San Luis Obispo Behavioral Health Department is currently in negotiations for a new contract of services at the Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) located on the Health Agency Campus at 2180 Johnson Avenue. CSU operations will be impacted, including a brief closure, until all negotiations are complete.
While this transition takes place, SLO County community members needing crisis stabilization may be transferred to the Marian Outpatient Unit in Santa Maria or other nearby counties for services as appropriate. Mental Health Crisis Services are still available in SLO County through the following:

Drug and Alcohol Services walk in clinics are still operating Monday-Friday.
