WIC participants receive monthly food benefits to get healthy foods.  WIC foods include fruits and vegetables, whole-wheat bread, dry beans/peas, peanut butter, milk, soymilk and tofu, yogurt, eggs, cheese, cereal, canned fish, baby foods and infant cereal. Special infant formulas and medical foods may be provided when prescribed by a physician for a specified medical condition.  For a full list of eligible foods, click here.

Yes!  WIC benefits will be provided on a California WIC Card for all of your family's food benefits at your first appointment if you qualify.

For more information on the program and its many benefits, visit the California WIC Program website.

Only a WIC authorized food store can accept the WIC Card. Look for the WIC logo or WIC poster to identify stores that accept the WIC Card. You can also consult with your WIC counselor to find a store near you.

Unfortunately, the WIC Card cannot be used at Farmers' Markets in San Luis Obispo County at this time.
