Digbi Health – Chronic Condition & Weight Management Program

Overview

Digbi Health is a personalized wellness program available to County of San Luis Obispo employees and eligible dependents enrolled in a Blue Shield medical plan. The program supports weight management, digestive health, Type 2 diabetes prevention, and overall metabolic health through a combination of technology, at-home testing, and one-on-one coaching.


Program Features

Participants in the Digbi Health program have access to:

  • Personalized nutrition and lifestyle recommendations
  • One-on-one health coaching through a mobile app
  • At-home testing kits (genetic and gut microbiome)
  • Continuous glucose monitoring (if applicable)
  • Progress tracking and digital tools to support long-term health

GLP-1 Medication Coverage Updates

Important changes are taking place for GLP-1 medications used for weight loss, including Wegovy®, Zepbound®, and Saxenda®.

  • Coverage is subject to updated medical criteria effective January 1, 2026
  • Existing coverage will end on March 31, 2026 unless the new criteria are met
  • Prior authorization must be completed through Digbi Health

Employees currently using or considering these medications are encouraged to review their eligibility as soon as possible.


Who is Eligible

The Digbi Health program is available at no cost to employees and dependents enrolled in a County Blue Shield medical plan who meet program criteria. The program is intended for individuals who:

  • Are managing weight or obesity
  • Have or are at risk for Type 2 diabetes
  • Experience digestive health concerns
  • Are seeking personalized wellness support

How the Program Works

Digbi Health provides a structured, guided program that typically lasts up to 12 months. Participants receive ongoing support, coaching, and recommendations based on their individual health data and goals.
