Goal 3: Align Land Use Planning Documents

REGIONAL HOUSING NEEDS ALLOCATION (RHNA) IN SLO COUNTY

The State Department of Housing and Community Development finalized its Regional Housing Needs Assessment (RHNA) determined the San Luis Obispo region and the San Luis Obispo Council of Governments (SLOCOG) allocation at 10,810 units for the 10-year projection cycle.

The County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to accept this projection.

 

Housing Elements

All eight local agencies are required to update their Housing Elements to reflect how local communities are planning for the State’s Regional Housing Needs Allocations through 2028. The Housing Elements must be submitted to the State by December 2020.
