The County of San Luis Obispo Department of Public Works will be installing an all-way stop control intersection at Tefft Street at Mesa Road.

The all-way stop is expected to be in place by Thursday, May 9, 2019. These changes are being proposed to improve area traffic operations and safety.

The County Board of Supervisors approved the all-way stop at their April 9, 2019 meeting. Please see attached map for location.

Both roadways are major collectors and experience high volumes of traffic daily. Installation of an all-way stop is an interim measure while a project to install traffic signals is being developed; currently scheduled for 2021.

Installation will include advance notifications at the site, to inform drivers of the upcoming changes. The new stop signs on Tefft Street at Mesa Road will be placed approximately one week after the posting of notifications.
