Renovation Project at the County Of San Luis Obispo Public Health Building

The County of San Luis Obispo Department of Public Works will begin construction on a renovation project at the County of San Luis Obispo Public Health Building, at 2191 Johnson Avenue in San Luis Obispo.

Work will begin on April 1, 2019, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Some work may occur after normal County business hours on weekdays or on weekends. The construction work will continue through the first week of August 2019. 

The general scope of work of the project is as follows:

  • Replace HVAC equipment
  • Replace existing roof system and rain gutters
  • Replace flooring in clinic area and exam rooms
  • Replace single-pane steel windows

The Public Health Facility will remain open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. 

Please be aware and acknowledge all safety barricades, traffic control and other public safety measures in place during the construction phase. Please see the attached map for the project location.

JG Contracting of Nipomo, CA will be performing the work.

Completion of this project will significantly extend the useful life of this important facility for the support and use of all visitors and residents of the community of San Luis Obispo.
