On the eve of the November 3, 2026, General Election, the SLO County Clerk-Recorder comments on today's announcement of charges against a local voter
The District Attorney and I share a commitment to ensuring that elections in San Luis Obispo County are secure, transparent, lawful, and limited to eligible voters. While our respective responsibilities, legal authority, and investigative tools differ, we're united in protecting the integrity of our elections.
In response to the District Attorney's announcement today that criminal charges have been filed in connection with alleged illegal voter registration and voting, my office stands ready to provide appropriate cooperation and support.
In the meantime, my focus—and that of my staff and our dedicated poll workers—remains squarely on conducting a safe, secure, and successful General Election tomorrow, November 3.
