What is the process?
Approval of Relocation
If your are interested in relocating, please discuss the relocation with your Probation Officer, prior to filling out the application. Once the application for relocation is approved, the Defendant will be provided reporting instructions for their new location and must report to the Probation Department in that State upon arrival.
Information Sent to Receiving State
The information provided by the Defendant is then sent to the receiving state. The receiving State will then, in turn, investigate and determine if it is appropriate for the Defendant to relocate. During the investigation process, the Defendant may not travel to the state where they wish to relocate.
