San Luis Obispo County, CA – Today Contour Airlines began nonstop service between Las Vegas and San Luis Obispo. The San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport partnered with Visit SLO CAL to celebrate the inaugural flights and to thank travelers from flying directly from SLO CAL.

At a festive ribbon-cutting to mark the first outbound flight to Las Vegas, Kevin Bumen, A.A.E., Director of Airports commented, “The new Contour service to Las Vegas is one more incredible nonstop destination we’ve been able to offer the Central Coast in 2019. Our community has been asking for this route for a long time, and we are thrilled to be able to deliver. The convenient flight schedule and the quality customer service offered by Contour Airlines will make traveling to Las Vegas a breeze.”

“Las Vegas marks the sixth state with a direct flight into SLO CAL, once again increasing our connectivity throughout the nation,” said Chuck Davison, President & CEO of Visit SLO CAL. “Las Vegas residents can escape high-speed lifestyles, blistering summers and cold, windy winters with a renewing trip to our coastal wine country community. The new flight service also directly connects our community to the entertainment capital of the world, providing new travel opportunities for our residents.”

The airline’s flight schedule is designed for weekend travel and flights are offered four times per week, on Thursday, Friday, Sunday and Monday. The quick 80-minute flight leaves Las Vegas at 10:35 a.m. and lands in San Luis Obispo at 11:55 a.m.; the return flight from San Luis Obispo departs at 12:25 p.m. and arrives in Las Vegas at 1:45 p.m. Base fares for the new service start at $99 one way.

Adam Hill, Supervisor for San Luis Obispo County’s 3rd district, which encompasses the airport, said, “We are so happy to welcome Contour Airlines into our community, and we believe that this is only the beginning of a strong relationship with our county and the growing list of destinations served by Contour.”

Contour will operate 30-seat Embraer ERJ-135 aircraft between the two cities, featuring all leather seating with expanded legroom, complimentary snacks and beverages, and a free checked bag included with every fare.
