In January 2024, the Point-in-Time (PIT) Count in San Luis Obispo County identified 1,171 individuals experiencing homelessness. The 2024 PIT Count used a new survey methodology that increased the reliability of the data collected. A full community report is forthcoming pending data verification by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
County of San Luis Obispo Closed the Oklahoma Parking Site

The County of San Luis Obispo has closed the Oklahoma Parking Site, an overnight parking program for individuals experiencing homelessness, with the remaining individuals voluntarily leaving on May 6, 2024.
