- Officers shall immediately investigate any report of food/meal contamination brought to their attention by a youth.
- Officers shall collect any meal and advise the on-duty supervisor or JSO III if they discover any foreign item, insect or other unsanitary object/matter in a meal tray.
- The on-duty JSO III or Supervisor should contact the Jail and advise them of the tainted meal.
- The tainted meal shall not be thrown away but kept if Jail staff request the contents of the tray.
- An incident report including a picture of the tainted meal should be completed and forwarded to the Superintendent.
