Student Internship Program

We are not accepting internship applications at this time. However, we encourage you to check back in the future for potential opportunities.

Internship Information

This is an unpaid internship opportunity for students currently enrolled in a college or university program. The purpose of the internship is to provide structured, hands‑on experience under the guidance of trained professionals. It is designed for students who are interested in pursuing a career in the community corrections field and want to gain practical exposure to the work, responsibilities, and mission of the department.

The Internship Program requires a minimum commitment of ninety (90) hours, with students expected to work at least eight (8) hours per week. Participation also requires several administrative and onboarding steps, including:

  • A signed internship contract between the student’s school (if academic credit is sought) and the Probation Department

  • Completion of the department’s internship application

  • Successful completion of a background process

  • Submission of required forms

  • Attendance at mandatory county and departmental training sessions
