Community Engagement
We meet people where they live, learn, work, and gather. Through campaigns, events, and local partnerships, we share practical safety information, helmets, lights, and other safety gear with people of all ages. Schools and partner organizations can contact us to join a campaign or request materials.

College Outreach
Campus pop-ups and partner events connect college students with information about helmet use, visibility, safe riding, and e-bike safety. Outreach may include helmet fittings, safety equipment, digital messages, and radio or social media campaigns.
Community Events
We participate in school, neighborhood, and community events across San Luis Obispo County. Our team connects with community members, answers safety questions, and provides resources such as helmet fittings and no-cost helmets, bicycle lights and reflective items, and educational materials in English and Spanish.
Safe Drives Save Lives
This bilingual campaign reminds drivers to slow down, stay alert, and watch for people walking, biking, and rolling. Banners and lawn signs are displayed at participating schools and busy community locations. Learn more about Safe Drives Save Lives
Be Seen on Halloween
Each fall, we remind children and families to use lights, reflective gear, and bright clothing, cross at visible locations, and stay alert while trick-or-treating.
Walk/Roll and Bike to School Day
Walk/Roll to School Day is celebrated in October, and Bike to School Day is celebrated in May. These events encourage students and families to use active transportation while reinforcing safer routes and travel habits. May is also Bike Month, with activities offered throughout the county.

Community Partnerships
We are proud to collaborate with partners on local initiatives, which help make walking, biking, and rolling safer and more accessible throughout San Luis Obispo County. We work with schools, colleges, law enforcement, emergency medical services, trauma prevention partners, transportation agencies, and community organizations to respond to local needs and reinforce consistent safety messages.
