Road Closures on North River Road at Huerhuero Creek in Paso Robles

The County of San Luis Obispo Department of Public Works will perform bridge repairs on North River Road at Huerhuero Creek. Work is scheduled for September 22, 2020, through September 24, 2020, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Road closures will occur over three days from September 22, 2020, through September 24, 2020, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. as necessary to facilitate the repair work. During working hours, North River Road between Wellsona Road and Paso Robles City limits will be a dead-end road at the bridge, with no turn around. The road will be open outside of these hours. Motorists are advised to use Highway 101 or Airport Road as an alternate route. See attached map for specific location. 

Advanced warning signs will be placed at the intersections of Wellsona Road 1.5 miles north of the site and River Oaks Drive 2.3 miles south of the site.

The twin bridges on River Road are among 137 federal highway bridges in the County of San Luis Obispo for which Caltrans provides inspection and recommendation of repairs. Based on potential structural deficiencies, a Caltrans bridge inspector determined that the southerly bridge requires repairs so the temporary weight restriction can be removed.
