The Workforce Development Board of San Luis Obispo County and the South-Central Coast Regional Planning Unit (RPU) of the State’s public workforce system cordially invite you to provide input on the Two-Year Modifications to the Program Year 2021-2024 Local and Regional Strategic Workforce Plans under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). Please submit comment to Dawn Boulanger via email at [email protected] no later than March 29, 2023. The Plans can be accessed through the links above and are also available in print for public review by request at third-floor reception of the County of San Luis Obispo Department of Social Services located at 3433 South Higuera St., San Luis Obispo, CA.

Workforce Development Board
The Workforce Development Board (WDB) is part of the public workforce system that supports economic expansion and the development of talent in the local workforce. The WDB utilizes local labor market information to develop strategies to focus resources on high growth industries in the area. The WDB contracts with service providers for employment and training activities for youth, adults, and dislocated workers. Services under the WDB also include Rapid Response and Layoff Aversion programs to assist employers and their employees during downsizing or business closures.
