Free COVID-19 Testing Available at Sites Countywide, Including Two New Pop-up Sites

San Luis Obispo, CA — Any San Luis Obispo County resident can now get tested for COVID-19 in about five minutes at sites across SLO County, including pop-up sites next week in Nipomo and Morro Bay.
“If you are experiencing any symptoms or think you may have been exposed, especially if you’ve participated in any type of large gathering, it’s a good idea to get tested,” said Dr. Penny Borenstein, Health Officer for San Luis Obispo County. “We’ve continued to expand our testing capacity and I encourage everyone who would like to be tested to take advantage of this opportunity.”
Testing is available at no cost to individuals. For those who have health insurance, information will be collected when registering for an appointment and no co-pay is required. For those who do not have health insurance, the State of California will pay for the test.
Pop-up testing sites will be open next week in Nipomo and Morro Bay. These sites will continue move to new locations. Testing sites are also available in Grover Beach and San Luis Obispo; these sites will remain in place as long as needed. In total, the sites include:
