2/15/2018 11:36:26 AM
The County of San Luis Obispo is continuing to construct new pavement on various roads in Arroyo Grande and Nipomo.
The work will include removing and replacing failed pavement, placing an overlay of asphalt, and reconstructing various roadside facilities such as curbs, and shoulders.
Current work and dates of construction work:
For the safety of the public and the workers, traffic will be subject to detours or reduced to one-way controls with flaggers and pilot cars as required for each phase of work. Hours of the lane closures will be on weekdays from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm on Branch Mill south of Huasna Road and from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on Hutton Road. Delays are expected, up to 10 minutes during major operations. Motorists are advised to adjust their travel plans in consideration of the delays and consider alternative routes.
CalPortland Construction of Santa Maria, CA has been awarded the contract for $1,282,215 to perform the work. The work is required to maintain the pavement structural section to avoid costly repairs in the future, and to provide for a smooth, safe road. The project is funded by San Luis Obispo County Road Maintenance funds.
