Training Opportunities for Unrepresented Managers and Supervisors

In an effort to further provide better communication regarding labor topics, including negotiations, The Human Resources department is hosting trainings for unrepresented Managers and Supervisors to discuss labor relations topics. There are currently 8 scheduled sessions in both San Luis Obispo and North County in order to reach the greatest number of staff.

The main objectives of this roundtable are:

  1. Provide information and tools to navigate discussions revolving around labor and bargaining with employees
  2. Assist in fostering positive employee relations
  3. Provide practical guidance for dealing with employee issues in a unionized environment

These sessions will be interactive and an opportunity for managers and supervisors to ask questions on how to navigate conversations with their represented staff. At this time training is by invitation only, with the intent to open similar trainings to additional staff in the future.
