Traffic Control and Road Closure for Geotechnical Investigation Work at Bridge 1 on Suey Creek Road

Traffic control measures will be in place on Suey Creek Road as Earth Systems, a consultant for the County of San Luis Obispo Department of Public Works, performs geotechnical investigations adjacent to the bridge on Suey Creek Road approximately 1.5 miles north of the intersection with Highway 166. The work will take place on Wednesday, September 25 and Thursday, September 26, 2024.

Murder Charges Filed Against Andrew F. Rodriguez (34) in Pismo Beach Stabbing Death

District Attorney Dan Dow announced today the filing of murder charges against Andrew Frederick Rodriguez. The Criminal Complaint alleges that Rodriguez is responsible for the stabbing death of Jonathan Campbell Perez (39) which occurred on September 11, 2024, in the city of Pismo Beach.

Starting on Monday, September 30, anyone who accesses PermitSLO will be using a cloud-based system. You might not notice a difference, but the software is moving away from County-owned servers and going to the cloud. PermitSLO is the public-facing portal of EnerGov, the County’s permitting software that is owned by Tyler Technologies.

Charges Filed Against a County Supervisor Candidate For Filing a False Declaration of Candidacy

On September 11, 2024, the San Luis Obispo County District Attorney’s Office filed charges against Michelle Marie Morrow (55, of Grover Beach) for voter registration fraud, filing a false declaration of candidacy, fraudulent voting, and for perjury by declaration. These crimes were committed during the March 5, 2024 primary election cycle.

District Attorney Dan Dow announced today that a civil settlement has been reached with a mobile home park management company that manages San Luis Obispo’s South Peak Mobile Park, and with its associated real estate brokerage firm. The settlement requires $61,000 payment for civil penalties and a contribution to a non-profit organization offering free legal assistance to tenants.
