COUNTYWIDE - The County of San Luis Obispo Department of Public Works will install centerline striping and rumble strips on various County roads throughout San Luis Obispo County starting on June 9, 2025. The work is anticipated to extend through the end of June 2025.

The proposed roads for improvements are:
  • Adelaida Road
  • Peachy Canyon Road
  • Geneseo Road
  • El Pomar Drive
  • La Panza Road
  • Pomeroy Road
  • Oso Flaco Road
Please refer to the maps for locations.

The project will improve traffic and roadway safety through the installation of new centerline striping and centerline rumble strips at the curves within the associated roadway segments.

Work is tentatively scheduled to start at the Geneseo Road section on Monday, June 9, 2025, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5 p.m. and will advance towards El Pomar Drive, La Panza Road, Adelaida Road, and Peachy Canyon Road in North County.  The work will then move to Pomeroy Road and Oso Flaco Road in South County.

For the safety of the public and work crews, traffic control will be in place and may cause delays of up to 10 minutes during construction. Motorists are advised to adjust their travel plans and consider alternative routes.

Chrisp Company has been awarded the $446,072 contract to perform the work. The project is funded by the Federal Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) and local road funds.
